Grooming should never be the scariest part of your dog's routine. For a lot of little dogs, it is. We groom small dogs only, in a quiet space, at a pace that works for them.

No rushing, no forcing, and no pretending a shaking dog is "fine". Just gentle, patient care that helps your dog feel safe on the table and happy to come back.

Whether your dog is a seasoned salon regular or has had a rough time in the past, we'll meet them where they're at.

A calm groom today means an easier groom next time.

Big salons can be loud, busy and overwhelming for little dogs. Clippers buzzing, dryers blasting, a stranger touching them. For a dog who weighs next to nothing, that's a lot to take in.

Here, your dog has the room to themselves. We groom one dog at a time, so there's no barking from the next table, no waiting in a crowded holding area, and no one else competing for our attention. It's just your dog, our groomer and a calm, quiet space.

As a Fear Free Certified business, we groom with your dog's emotional wellbeing front of mind, not just their coat. We read their body language the whole way through and adjust as we go. If they need a break, they get one. If a certain spot is sensitive, we slow down and work with them. We use treats, gentle handling and plenty of reassurance to build positive experiences, one small step at a time.

And if your dog is really struggling on the day, we won't push through just to finish the job. We'll talk to you about the best next step, whether that's a shorter groom, a few short visits to build confidence, or trying again another day. A tidy coat is never worth a frightened dog.

Every calm groom teaches your dog that grooming is safe. That makes the next one easier, and the one after that easier again. Over time, you get a dog who walks in with their tail up. That's the goal.

Our Grooming Services

Every dog is different, so every groom is too. The prices below are a starting guide. The final price depends on your dog's coat type, condition and how they're feeling on the day. If anything changes, we'll always talk it through with you before we go ahead.

Full Groom

Our most complete groom, nose to tail.

This is the full works. Your dog gets a warm wash, blow dry and thorough brush, followed by a full body clip, scissoring on the face, a tidy of the paw pads and hygiene areas, and a nail clip.

It's a practical, comfortable groom that suits dogs who need regular maintenance. It keeps their coat manageable at home and leaves them looking and feeling their best.

Most dogs benefit from a Full Groom every 4 to 8 weeks.

Wash & Tidy

The in-between groom.

Perfect for keeping your dog fresh and comfortable between Full Grooms. Your dog gets a warm wash, blow dry and brush, a tidy of the face, paw pads and hygiene areas, and a nail clip.

It's all the little bits that make the biggest difference to daily comfort. Clear eyes, clean paws and a tidy bottom, without the full haircut.

This service doesn't include body clipping. If you'd like length taken off the body or a full face trim, book a Full Groom instead.

Wash & Dry

A simple refresh

For when your dog just needs to smell nice again. Your dog gets a warm wash, brush and blow dry, and goes home soft, clean and fluffy.

It's also a lovely option for dogs who are new to grooming. A shorter, simpler visit is a great way to build confidence before moving on to clipping and trims.

This service doesn't include clipping, trimming or nail clipping.

Book a Groom

Dogs thrive on structure & routine .

We recommend booking your dogs grooms on a routine schedule to help set them up for success. At drop-off, we'll have a quick chat about your dog's coat, any sensitive spots and the look you're after. Let us know about any health issues, allergies or past grooming experiences, good or bad. The more we know, the better we can support them.

Because we always groom one dog at a time, your dog won't sit in a crowded waiting area for hours. Appointments usually take 2-3 hours and we'll message you as soon as they're ready for pick-up.

All dogs need up-to-date vaccinations & must be free of flee’s & ticks.

Grooming FAQ’s

  • If your dog's coat keeps growing and needs a haircut, book a Full Groom.

    If they just need a freshen up of the face, paws and hygiene areas, go for a Wash & Tidy.

    If they only need a bath, book a Wash & Dry. Still not sure? Get in touch and we'll help you choose.

  • Yes. All dogs need to be up to date with their C5 vaccinations. Please ensure their profile is up to date before your first visit

  • Please take them for a toilet break before drop-off, and keep their meal light so they're comfortable on the table. If you can, give them a gentle brush in the days before. If brushing turns into a battle, skip it. We'd rather your dog arrive calm than perfectly brushed.

    • Create your profile in the Gingr Pet Parent App and review our availble dates in the portal to reserve your pup’s spot.

    • Have questions or special timing needs? Send us an enquiry & let us know your preferred time, and we’ll do our best to make it happen!

  • Starting early with short, positive visits is one of the best things you can do for a lifetime of easy grooms. We recommend starting as early as 10 weeks, with a wash & tidy before moving to a puppy groom at around 6 months old.

  • Please call us to discuss if your dog is over 15kgs. We're Small Dog Specialists, and everything about our space and handling is designed for little dogs.

  • Every dog is different. Coat condition, matting and how your dog copes on the day can all change the time needed. If the price is likely to change, we'll tell you before we start. No surprises at pick-up.

  • Yes. Book your dog in for daycare and we'll groom them during the day, so they're fresh and ready at pick-up. You’ll only be charged the half-daycare price.

    If your dog doesn't usually come to daycare, you can book a groom with half day daycare. It gives them a calm, structured place to be before or after their groom, and gives you a bit of flexibility with drop-off and pick-up.

  • We ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Because we groom one dog at a time, each appointment is set aside just for your dog, and a late cancellation usually means we can't offer that spot to another dog. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged 50% of the groom price.

    Life with dogs isn't always predictable. If something comes up, let us know as early as you can.

Before your appointment & bookings

  • Absolutely. This is exactly who we set up for. We groom one dog at a time, go at your dog's pace and use Fear Free handling throughout. For some dogs, we'll suggest a few short visits first to build trust before a full groom.

  • The last thing we want to do is turn grooming into an unnecessarily stressful experience for your dog.

    Some dogs don’t enjoy having certain areas touched. Others may struggle with their feet, face, dryer, clippers, nail trimming or another particular part of the grooming process.

    We’ll always try to work with your dog and safely complete as much of their groom as they’re comfortable allowing us to do.

    But we’re not going to continually push a dog beyond what they’re able to cope with simply to achieve a perfect haircut.

    If something can’t be completed safely or your dog is becoming excessively stressed, we may modify or stop that part of the groom.

    Sometimes completing a little less today and building their confidence over several appointments creates a much better relationship with grooming in the long run.

  • Most appointments take 2-3 hours, depending on the service and your dog's coat. Because we groom one dog at a time, your dog won't be waiting around for hours. We'll message you when they're ready.

  • It depends on their coat. Dogs with coats that keep growing usually need a Full Groom every 4-6 weeks, with a Wash & Tidy in between. We'll give you a personal recommendation after your dog's first visit.

  • Yes, within reason. Bring a photo and we'll talk it through at drop-off. Our focus is always a practical, comfortable cut that's easy to care for at home, so we'll let you know if a style isn't right for your dog's coat.

  • We gently work through small mats by hand. If the coat is tightly matted, brushing it out would hurt, so we'll recommend a short clip instead and let the coat grow back fresh. We'll always check with you first. Comfort comes before looks, every time.

    In these situations, clipping the coat shorter is often the kindest and safest option. We’ll always do our best to make your dog look great, but their comfort comes first.

  • Yes. We love our oldies. We'll adjust the groom around their comfort, with extra breaks and gentle positioning. Please tell us about any health issues, sore joints or skin conditions when you book.

  • Yes. Book your dog in for daycare and we'll groom them during the day, so they're fresh and ready at pick-up. You’ll only be charged the half-daycare price.
