Kids & Dogs: Safe Friendships
Whether you have a newborn on the way, a toddler who thinks every dog is a teddy bear, or older kids who've just never really learned the rules.
Dogs and children can have the most beautiful relationships, but they need us to set them up properly. This workshop is about giving families the understanding they need so that everybody, two-legged and four, feels safe, comfortable, and confident at home.
This workshop will give your whole family the knowledge to share life with a dog more safely, more confidently, and with a lot less stress.

Not at all. You're welcome to attend without your dog and still get full value from the workshop.
Whilst they are welcome, sometimes your own dog can distract from your learning. We will have a demonstration dog throughout the class to assist. -
Absolutely. Younger children are welcome to attend with a caregiver. We simply recommend ages 3+ for active participation, as the concepts and activities are most accessible from that age.

Yes, in fact this is a great workshop to attend before you bring a dog home, especially if you have young children.
Equally it is just as beneficial if you are expecting a child, or have children over only intermittently. -
If bringing your dog: a lead, flat collar or harness (no retractable leads), and proof of vaccination if not already on file with us. Treats are optional but always appreciated by the dogs.
